Continental Powertrain

Engine (Gas or Diesel) - All internally lubricated parts, piston, piston rings, piston pins, crankshaft and main bearings, timing chain, timing gears, intake and and exhaust valves, valve springs, valve guides, oil pump, push rods, rocker arms, rocker arm shafts, hydraulic and solid lifters, intake manifold; harmonic balancer, metal valve covers, timing gear cover, air and vacuum pump. The engine block and heads are also covered if caused by failure of any of the above covered items. (Rotary) - All of the above listed components; rotor seals; rotor chamber; eccentric shaft and bearings, all other internal parts of a rotary engine.

Water Pump - Impeller shaft; bearings; bushings and housing.

Seals and Gaskets - Should seals and gaskets be required in conjunction with the repair of a covered component, coverage will be extended to include seals and gaskets on said components up to 100,000 miles. The cylinder head gasket(s) and intake manifold gasket are the only gaskets covered as a gasket failure alone.

Transmission (Automatic or Standard) - All internal parts; torque converter; vacuum modulator, mounts. The case is covered if damage is caused by failure of any of the above covered items.

Transaxle (Front Wheel Drive) - All internal parts; transaxle mounts; vacuum modulator; torque converter; drive axle shafts; constant velocity joints. The case is covered if damage is caused by a failure of any of the above covered items.

Drive Axles (Front or Rear) - All internal parts; propeller shafts; universal joints; axle shafts; bearings; supports. The case is covered if damage is caused by a failure of any of the above covered items.

Car Rental Reimbursement - Your coverage can limit the expense of a rental vehicle, when your vehicle is disabled for COVERED PARTS (except where prohibited by law), if the covered repair takes more than 16 hours labor guide to complete.

Continental Plus (Continental Plus also includes covered components in the Continental Powertrain Package.)

Steering - (Manual or Power) - All internal parts in Recirculating ball housing; power steering pump; steering main and intermediate shafts.

Electrical Components - Alternator; electronic voltage regulator; generator; starter motor; starter solenoid and starter drive.

Brake Components - Master cylinder; power assist boosters and valves; wheel cylinders and calibers.

Air Conditioning Components - Expansion valve, pressure cutoff switches, orifice tube and receiver dryer. If R-12 is not available, the system will be converted to R-134a refrigerant to meet environmental standards.

Towing Allowance - Towing coverage is provided in the event of a failure of a COVERED COMPONENT for a maximum of $50 per occurrence.

Continental Gold (Continental Gold also includes covered components in the Continental Plus and Continental Powertrain Packages.)

Electrical Components - Distributor shaft and housing; window motors; power seat motors; front wiper motor (including internal circuit board, relay and delay switch); manually operated switches; power window switches; power seat switches; power door locks; horn button; turn signal switch; cruise control module; cruise control switch; headlamp switch; emergency warning flasher switch; window regulators and drives.

Air Conditioning Components - Compressor; clutch and pulley; condenser and evaporator.

Front Suspension - Upper and lower control arms; control arm shafts and bushings; upper and lower ball joints; steering knuckles; stabilizer shaft and bushings; king pins and bushings; strut bar and bushings; spindles and spindle supports; wheel bearings.

Fuel - Fuel tank and lines; fuel inject metering pump; fuel injectors; fuel distributor. Steering Components - Power cylinder assembly; Pitman arm; idler arm; tie rods; drag link; power steering cooler; control valve and cylinder steering gear box or rack and all internally lubricated parts.

Brakes Components - Combination valve; steel lines and fittings; backing plates; power brakes cylinder; vacuum assist booster pump; springs, clips and retainers; self adjusters; rear activators; parking brake linkage and cables. Anti-lock Brakes (ABS) - Booster and pump; master cylinder; control processor and solenoids.

Hi-Tech Electronics - Electronic driver information display and module; computerized mixture control unit ; power sun/moon roof motor; power convertible top motor; electronic level control compressor; Crank Sensor, Knock Sensor, Oil Temp Sensor, Camshaft Positioning Sensor, Mass Air Flow Sensor, BAP Sensor, MAP Sensor, Upstream Oxygen Sensors, Downstream Oxygen Sensors, Heated Oxygen Sensors, Throttle Positioning Sensor, Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, Intake Air Temperature Sensor, Neutral or Park Position Sensor, Brake Fluid Pressure Sensor, PFE Sensor, Pressure Sensors (HVAC), Ride Height Sensor.

Optional Coverage for All Plans

Turbo/Supercharger (surcharge applies) - Internal parts; vanes, shafts, bearings and housing if damaged is caused by a failure of a covered component.

Four-wheel / All-wheel drive (surcharge applies) - Transfer case (and internally lubricated parts), front differential, manual locking and bearing assembly, c/v axels, front drive shaft and universal joints and enhanced labor time for obstructive parts.

Engine - Crankshaft, piston ring camshaft, plus more.

Transmission / Transaxle - Drive gears, carrier bearing, internal transaxle seal, plus more.

Differential Assembly Components - Pinion bearings, axles and axle bearings, plus more.

Towing - Towing reimbursement available for covered breakdowns.

PVP Classic

Timing Belt - Timing belt replacement. See contract for details.

CV Joints - CV joint replacement. See contract for further details.

Steering - Steering box, pump housing, rack and pinion, plus more.

Electrical - Alternator, starter motor, front wiper motor, cooling fan motor, heater blower motor, electric horn, clock, switches for the following; neutral safety, overdrive, reverse indicator, power windows, power door locks.

Seals and Gaskets - Head gaskets and intake manifold gaskets are covered for ccolant leaks only on vehicles with pu to 125,000 miles at the time of failure.

Air Conditioner - Compressor, please see contract for further details.

Cooling System - Water pump, thermostat, mixture control valve, overflow reservoir.

Substitute Transportation - Rental reimbursement available for covered breakdowns.

24-Hour Roadside Assistance - Roadside Membership offering towing, lockout, battery jump, fuel delivery, plus more.

PVP Premier

Seals and Gaskets - All seals and gaskets are covered for premature failure on vehicles up to 125,000 miles at the time of failure. Seepage of seals and gaskets is considered normal wear and tear and is not covered under this contract. Any damage due to the loss of fluid is not covered.

High-Tech Electrical - Electronic control module and instrument cluster, climate control, cruise control, windows, seats, locks, plus more.

Cooling System - Blower motor, heater core, electric radiator fan motor, plus more.

Fuel System Plus - Mechanical fuel pump, electric fuel pump, vacuum pump, plus more.

Brake System - Master cylinder, wheel cylinder, disc brake calipers, vacuum booster, plus more.

Suspension - Control arems and shafts, bearings and bushings, stabilizer bar and link, plus more.

Turbo Charger / Supercharger - All internally lubricated parts, due to mechanical failure.

Air Conditioner - Compressor, evaporator, accumulator, plus more.

Fluids - Oil, power steering, antifreeze, and transmission fluids.

Subsitute Transportation Plus - Rental reimbursement increases up to $40 per 4 hour labor charge ($200 maximum per claim) for covered breakdowns.

Trip Interruption Intervention - Meals, lodging reimbursement.

PVP Xtend - All systemsm listed under Powertrain, Classic, and Premier levels of coverage are covered under the Xtend plan in addition to:

Enhanced Electrical - Sunroof, defogger, mileage computer, transducer, and much more.

Optional Coverage:

Entertainment Group - Includes but is not limited to: CD Player, Speakers, VCR/Player, Rear A/C, and more.

Global Positioning System - All manufacturer installed components are covered.

Tire Coverage - Includes Tire Repair or Replacement if the covered tire incurs damage from a road hazard.
